Linn Maggs Goldwin are Registered Auditors with the ICAEW and LMG's Partners each have over 20 years of auditing experience. By working closely with clients, the needs of the commissioning company and the specifics of their operating sector can be addressed.
We believe that a company audit should be a useful and value-enhancing exercise, whether or not you are required to have your accounts audited by statute. We approach our audits from a ‘risk-based' perspective, concentrating on key areas that we have identified through our audit planning exercise and from our knowledge of the client. This keeps audit costs to a minimum, whilst adding value to the business.
A number of clients come to us after hiring large accounting practices, where there is a tendency to send inexperienced juniors on audit visits to clients. This combination of accounting inexperience, lack of regulatory awareness and knowledge about the client's business sector can lead to higher charges and a poor level of detail within the audit.
