This is the tax, together with national insurance, that the majority of us have to pay. This is because most of us are taxed on our earnings under the PAYE system.
Those belonging to the ranks of the self-employed are required to calculate and pay their own income tax. Whilst this does provide more flexibility, it is at the price of greater complexity, and a lot more paperwork and potential risk of making errors.
We seek to reduce your income tax burden in two ways. Firstly, by taking away much of the paperwork, e.g. preparing returns and corresponding with HM Revenue & Customs and secondly, by ensuring that you claim all the legitimate expenses and reliefs to which you may be entitled.
